Ben's Newbie Guide to Digital SLR Photography It seems like every time I post pictures someone will send me a PM asking questions about how to improve their photography. Over the past few months I've written a book's worth of information, but most of it has been in small pieces and sent out in individual PM's. I figured now would be a good ...

Generally a mouse at work, and the Macbook's trackpad anywhere else. The Macbooks just have such really good trackpads. Two-finger scrolling and multitouch in general make it way more natural to use than any other stationary pointing device. quote: Originally posted by minor_deity : Trackpoints are glorious to use, little movement, your thumb is right over the mouse buttons all the time. Good, now start loosening the mechanical drag in very tiny increments to increase your casting distance. I do not pay any attention to the rule that you adjust the mechanical drag until the lure just starts to slip from the rod tip- some lures cast well with the drag set so they drop in free fall and others cast best when the drag will not allow them to drop at all. The drag is set correctly when...

Range of motion Internal Friction... I have arthritis and I can tell you that you need to be taking something that will promote healthy joints and bones as well as staying as active as you can. Avoid all repetitive motions for long periods of time and keep up the range of motion techniques that will keep that specific area loosened up. If you get in a pinch where it's really painful, grab an ...

As has been stated, the problem here was the shutter speed. Unless you are shooting a stationary object and using a tripod, 1/10 -1/15 of a second as all your shots are here is way too slow . Given the comments here already, I would also add that since you said you're shooting with a 40D you have a much higher ISO range than you used here....use it. When you're shooting indoors, don't be ...

Howdy there, my fellow TFP gun nuts! As you may know, I'm a skinny bastard and have a hard time with concealed carry due to my narrow physique making any hidden firearm appear like some kind of giant tumor. Belt holsters? Forget about it (though I found a high ride one that is promising). Shoulder rig? Too cumbersome and too obvious. Ankle holster? Too awkward, maybe for a backup gun. ...

I would encourage you to get a portable induction unit to test it out before you make such an important decision. A portable induction unit will serve you well during the remodel phase when your kitchen is out of commission too, so don't think of it as throwaway money or anything. I myself thought I "had" to have gas. We realized that anything we do that NEEDS gas, can be done outside on ...
