@jiml8, What you say is correct, but the OP is wanting to use the remote sshd as a socks proxy rather than tunneling to a listening application/server. @rhololkeolke, Your command looks correct to me. (As an aside, you might wish to try the -f option like jiml8 showed, but that is not your real problem.) I believe it is the sshd on the other end that actually acts as the proxy....

If you do settle on ssh , note that you can put as many -L tunnels optons as you want on the same command line, as well as the -D SOCKS proxy. That is to say, once you work out which tunnels and proxies you want to use and verify that they work for you, you can put them all into just one ssh command line, put that into a script, maybe wrap that script into a double clickable ...

The entire company is connected to the same switch, and the entire company tunnels through the same concentrator. Nothing changed on either device. As far as malware, I am pretty sure there are no issues, I will however install one more utility on top of the Trend Micro, just to make sure. I have a feeling it has to do with the DNS, so where do I find a good documentation for a"deep clean...

Thanks :) The Chaos Tunnels are underneath places around Bounty Hunter, in small rifts you can clibm through. It's not advised to go to many dangerous places in there, though; it's multi-combat, so you'll have a ...

Hi, we're using a single ASG120 Appliance for connecting two of our branch offices via IPSec to our headquarters. Yesterday I decided to update the ASG120 from firmware 6.314, which had been absolutely rock-solid btw, to ASG7. The update process hung right before the first reboot, after the ASG downloaded the V7 Firmware. I waited for almost an hour, but instead of rebooting the ...

I have been shopping for a proxy. Gathered as much information about the options as possible. Tuff job because i don't know anyone personally who is a subscriber so everything is based on web searches and forum posts. Considered these mostly these ones: Secure-Tunnel.com They have been around for a few years and seem to be staying = not an overnight proxy that disappers and you're left ...
