Consider this..... http://www.bayoufitness.com/Detail.bok?no=60 My wife pleaded with me to give up the weight stack about 5 years ago. Too big and heavy so once it's in place it's not moving. Like you, I wasn't trying to bulk up. I'm basically a runner and wanted something to work the upper body for a more balanced routine. I tried all the flexible rod machines ...

Stretching Before Exercising Actually Weakens Muscles This whole ritual may have been a big lie Back in grade school you were probably taught the importance of warm-up exercises, and it’s likely you’ve continued with pretty much the same routine ever since. Science, however, has moved on. Researchers now believe that some of the more entrenched elements of many athletes’ ...

Had my first PT today! My dr. didn't say anything about the bleeding scars, cause when I was in the office they were covered with dead skin and scabs. Yuck. I am now at least 50% weight bearing. It doesn't hurt too bad in the aircast at all. My kids keep telling me not to do 100% when they catch me walking around with 1 crutch. My range of motion is next to nothing with my ankle. ...

WHEN DUANE KNUDSON, a professor of kinesiology at California State University, Chico, looks around campus at athletes warming up before practice, he sees one dangerous mistake after another. Theyre stretching, touching their toes. . . . He sighs. Its discouraging. If youre like most of us, you were taught the importance of warm-up exercises back in grade school, and youve likely ...

I apologize for posting this non Masters topic here but I honestly could not think of a better place to post. My just turned 13 rear old daughter was diagnosed with bursitis/impingement in her right shoulder in early August. She was experiencing popping/pain during all strokes at various phases. Seems she is paying the price for years of swimming Freestyle with an internally rotated right ...

Question Hello, I happened upon this website while trying to find more info on physical therapy for my back. The story goes, I fell about 30 feet out of a tree and had 2 compression fracture (T3 T8) and one complete burst fracture (T5). There was no loss of movement or real damage done to the spinal cord. I have full functionality of all limbs. This happened about 3 months ago. Since then I...
