Things never to do number #74623: Give me an RPG to write about. I feel really unfair on fellow admin Mr Codex here, because there’s nothing I can much say about his epic masterwork that’s been in development almost as long as Layden’s Raid Over Moscow. The problem is twofold - one I know very little of the machine the game is sourced from beyond an article that I’ve still got sitting ...

Back in my earliest childhood years I played with a Texas Instruments computer (until of course I got an NES, then I completely eschewed that crusty old relic). It basically makes the Commodore 64 look like a Playstation 3 by comparison. Anyways, there was one game in particular I remember playing, and it was the very first RPG I ever played in my life. Tunnels of Dooooooooom! A bit ...

Anyway, we made it into the subway tunnels when we heard the universally recognizable witch music with crying. At this point we deemed the mission a failure and said our final farewells. There was much crying, especially for Bill who ...

Written by Becky Akers Wednesday, 03 September 2008 21:11 Nathan HaleNathan Hale was full of fun and life, but he is remembered for his death. He was a man of honor who died in rank dishonor. His last words, which should have perished with him, have instead immortalized him. He was hanged for espionage 232 years ago this September 22. He was one of those gifted-all-around ...

He was a tourist in Rome, seeing the sprawling ruins wormholed by time. He probably heard shots at the Forum: its crumbling stones, overgrown with long grass, were popular with hunters. The Colosseum, meanwhile, with its oval facade and labyrinth of tunnels and buttresses, struck him as having the scale of a city. And over the river, the building site that was to become St Peter's Basilica was...

Story / Plot discussion below : Spoiler Alert, click show to read: Since the story is a little convoluted and since there are still quite a few blanks in the story line after Gears of War 2 (hoping 3 will bring more answers), let's start with what we know. Gears of War The Humans have been on Serra for centuries (300 years I believe), fighting massive wars over the ...
