8.5/10 Sedotta e abbandonata [Seduced and Abandoned] (1964) Netflix Oh, my. The first 40 minutes of this had me in stitches and proclaiming it one of my ten favorite comedies. The comic timing is impeccable and the writing is razor sharp. As well as a comedy, its a satire of the macho men of Sicily and the unfair rules which apply to women in their society. I backed off a bit from my ...

After a little more time listening, it seems as if the personalities at the music channels are being cut back in their on-air presence, making the programming more conducive to be used as background music. Less talk between the songs, combined with playlists featuring singles with high public awareness means that the Sirius/XM programming becomes a reasonably priced alternative to Muzak in ...

Quote: Fast forward to tonight, and I hear Mojo tell me that "there are only three types of songs - fuckin' songs, drinkin' songs, and shootin' songs." That's a pretty good description of what you'll hear. Oh, throw in truckin' songs and you've got it covered. Outlaw Country sucks, plain and simple.

I cannot believe they took off x country. Coming home today, it was a full hour of old truckin' songs. Jeez. I just called xm and gave them a piece of my mind, also emailed them just to make sure, then found this board. Found the petition linked above and signed it. Considering cancelling. _________________ Brian Stephens

To me Truckin' is the most surprisingly hard drum beat. It doesn't sound hard, it doesn't even look hard, but it's the only song on the track pack I can't beat (though drums aren't all that difficult in the track pack overall).

quote: Greg, very relaxing music you make Is it all improvised or carefully "crafted"? You must not have listened to Truckin' Down 401 or Betty Ann. Thanks for the compliments. Most of the songs are "carefully crafted" but all of the leads are improvised. This is how I maintain my sanity. By the way, you mentioned how hard it is to make sense of the manuals and advice here in ...

from: http://www.birthplaceofcountrymusic.org/node/29 The recording sessions began with Ernest Stoneman and some of his friends on July 25, 1927. Stoneman recorded with various combinations of these friends, including Eck Dunford, Mooney Brewer, under the name of the Dixie Mountaineers which included, among others, his wife Hattie. They recorded gospel and traditional songs, such as "Are ...
