The Wachowskis: From "2001" to "The Godfather" to "The Matrix ... Quote: It was a night out of your dreams. We'd been invited by James Bond, the famed projection wizard, to see the new Kinowerks post-production and screening facility he designed and built on Chicago's north side. You have James to thank if you've ever attended the Grant Park outdoor ...

Speed racer, and the Wachowski Brothers continue to amaze me. I don't know how they could make something so lame as speed racer turn out so great. It's a decent watch. Weird thing though, for like the first half it's all family oriented, no swearing or sex or anything, then the second half is more normal. Really strange. But yea, the wachowski brothers are the guys that did V For Vendetta and...

I watched this with low expectations and actually really quite enjoyed it. The only real negative point for me would have been the younger brother and the monkey, the stuff for them was just cringeworthy and naff. The racing scenes were a lot of fun, very silly though very enjoyable, in the second half of the film it really went up a notch. The colour scheme was completely mental/garish ...

There isn't a single shred of originality in The Matrix This discussion is about adapting a comic book. ... ... You'd feel cocky too if you were full of myself.

yeah I said it, no I'm not being Ironic. Hate me if you like but Speed Racer kicked ass and so did the first Matrix, with a great writer planning out out (and straight up I don't know Mark Millar from Adam but I'm trusting Herc on this one) they could make the haters shut up and give us a truly cool fantastic world, as opposed to doing the 'Dark Superknight' that I'm genuinely scared Warner is ...

I have the Chemyakin version on DVD and I was really openly wondering was this ballet choreographed by the Wachowski brothers or Quentin Tarantino--that's how strange it was. You really had to wonder what was the reaction of American audiences when this version was actually performed in Washington, DC at the Kennedy Center about five years ago.

I enjoyed this movie a lot. Remember that episode of The Simpsons where Homer smokes too much marijuana? He said something along the lines of : "Whether you've got glaucoma or you've just rented the Matrix marijuana can make things fabulous." Well he SHOULD have said "if you've just rented Speed Racer" because this movie is a total trip. I think it was solely designed to be a drug companion...

I thought the Matrix looked good, and had a vaguely decent storyline, but the sequels and their somewhat heavyhanded approach to philisophy just didn't do it for me. I'd say bullet time ,which the Wachowski brothers (or should that be brother and sister now.. hmmm), used (but did not invent) was more evolutionary than revolutionary.. I mean it was used in various ads, music videos and a ...
