The plastic-packed, dry and canned food I buy has a "best if used by" date that's usually between one and two years-or-so from the date of purchase. I was wondering how far one could push this date out. Anyone have experiences to share? For reference, oatmeal=15 months, raisins=15 months, honey=2 years, walnuts=2 years, and tuna=3.5 years.
