My family has owned Dietrich Slaughter and Processing for 40 years and continue to do things traditionally. My name is Misty and I'm from Natchitoches, Louisiana and its not unusual for me to see my dad slice and dice a cow or pig, package it and send it off to be wine and dined! It is a very gross, dirty and smelly job that requires a strong stomach.

I suggest Paris, Marshall, Athens (check out the fish hatchery there), Longview in Texas. A great drive is to hit Highway 80 at the Mississippi border with Louisiana and take that all the way into Texas.
