I have just read the posts about muscle Biopsies. I have FMS and have had it for about 6 years. My muscle pain is SOOO bad. There are times when my shoulders and upper arms are so bad I can hardly stand it. My neck is also bad. I am so fatigued. I am on Percocet for pain and Amitriptyline. I had my muscle biopsy yesterday. I have to wait for the results, which I won't get until late January as I'm going away for two weeks early in January. I finally got my date for my muscle biopsy, December 11. They are going to do another EMG. I had one in September. seems like our doc told us the younger the kids are the more likely they are to find- I think he said- "biochemical" abnormalities, while the older they are they're more likely to see actual physical changes in muscle tissue. Or maybe my brain was so full I flubbed that. Anybody? One reason we haven't done the bx yet is we can't decide which of the 3 of us to do.

For us they mentioned it while I was preg. Watched and monitored for a while, testing for tons of other things, finally at 13 mos we had the muscle/skin biopsy.
