I'm trying these classes for the first time this week. Has anyone tried this? Any tips or pointers? Krav Maga=Israeli defensive fighting Muay Thai=increased contact kickboxing (they use hands, elbows, shins and knees instead--not just hands and feet like westernized kick boxing) From what I heard, both deliver intense aero and anaerobic workouts.

I have been wondering if there are more than one stance in muay thai. Not too long ago I went to a muay thai school that teaches you stand with a square stance, but you have your hips rotated at a 45 degree angle and of course hands up. However, anther muay thai school teaches you to square up, but you have your shoulder parallel or squared which I have never seen before, only in MMA ...

Gotcha. I hope it works out for ya. I'd hate to think you'll miss an opportunity to do something you may really enjoy because of funding...or lack thereof. I remember being a college student. Ain't no other broker person in the world!

Carnage should stay in muay Thai, he is so great to watch and mma would take so long to prepare for. I love mma, but the world needs pure muay Thai fighters, pure boxers, pure wreatlers, pure judoka.
