ok here is my problem, i want to know is it possible to to record something off the tv using the dvr. then use upload it on the computer and use it on window movie maker... is this possible? 2nd question...if so can you also use movie and copy them on dvr or whatever then use the clips on windows movie maker

I am using Windows xp with Movie Maker ver 2.1 I used these sames videos when I was visiting my sister and on her Vista system. But on my system, I am having a lot of problems getting the videos into Movie Maker. All of my videos have "mpeg" extentions, which is suppose to be a supported file type. Video not playing in Movie Maker

Greetings! I am having issues with a movie I imported into Movie Maker. The audio plays fine, but there's a black box where the video belongs. I'm sure it's some sort of codec issue, but can anyone give me a pointer to the right needle in the haystack? I was recommended to download the AC3 filter, but that didn't solve the problem. Any ideas? Thanks,

Is there a way to download more effects and transitions to my present Windows XP Movie Maker 5.1? I have useed the Vista version and it has some nice effects that I ued o a cli Iade for a Christmas card for my wife. I made a cd of it and it didn't work with XP.. Tried to remake in my XP version and found there isn't the same effects or transitions I used in Vista version.

Sorry to hijack but I wondered if anyone could help me with something. Recently any clips I put in from my mobile (but have converted to avi format) have started coming out funny when I try to save it to windows media. At the moment it's playing the clips fine in movie maker but when I save it the clips go black apart from a thin strip at the top where I can see the clip is playing Help please!
