Hello, What is the largest size of MiniSD card that the HV20 can take ? Is it a 2 gb card ? Thank you for any info. I'm also wondering about something --- do all 4 gb SD or MiniSD cards mean they are HCSD ? ( I do believe this is true, but thought I would ask to confirm ) I'm pretty sure that HCSD ( high capacity ) MiniSD cards DO NOT work in the Canon HV20.

Maybe I'm missing something. The card is a Kingston 1GB miniSD. - Inserted card (the right way round) - Turned HV20 to Play mode - Pressed Function button - Selected Menu, then the menu options via the Set button However, try as I might, I cannot locate the Menu option 'Card Initialization' mentioned on Page 63 in the manual. Any advice welcome Thanks ~ John

It states in the manual that only MiniSD cards up to 2 gig have been tested with the HV30. My question is, will the hv 30 function properly with a 4 gig MiniSD card? What about the Transcend 4 gig SDHC? what does the HC stand for, (High Capacity)? Thanks in advance, Denny

My understanding is that the MiniSD card is for still images. How big are the full size still images? Do I need a high speed card to achieve a high speed continuous shooting of still images? What about this Sandisk 2G card? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...mory_Card.h tml Thanks, kevin

Hey everyone, I am just wondering what is the maximum support capacity miniSD card that the HV20 will support. Does anyone know? What size card are you currently using? Also, will the HV20 record movies to the miniSD card or just pictures? Are there any other uses for the miniSD slot (firmware updates)? Thanks for input!

I just got a Ritek minisd 2 Gb card. Works fine. Compared to my Canon G9 still camera, the transfer of the images to Picasa photo editing is downright slow! And these are much smaller files. Seems like it is a USB 1.0 rather than a 2.0 speed. The manual doesn't say the spec. Anyone know? Paul

so i have a miniSD card... and i inserted it into my HV30... but when i switch the camera over to card mode to take a picture... it says NAMING ERROR and wont let me... any advice?
