Hi, I bought a new mini sd card from kingston to use it for setting the aperture/gain. The problem is, that when pressing the photo button all I get is a blinking, red "OFF" sign. Any advice on this? Couldn't find anything through the search. I'm eager to try this trick, so I hope that someone has a solution for this. Thank you.

I purchased a Sandisk Mini SD card from best buy for my hv30. When I put the card in the slot, It displays on the screen that there is a card in. But if I try to take a picture, it says 'error', 'no card'. Is this an internal problem with my hv30 that I should be worried about? Or Do I just need to try other mini sd cards? Thanks for your time.

See page 53 in the manual regarding the limit of the number of images on the card you can d/l to a computer from the camera. A card reader might help. I can't imagine having more than 1,800 images stored on my card...lol

I don“t think the card itself is nessecarily the problem. The problem is that you formatted the card in your computer instead of in your camera and now the camera can`t read it anymore. Which format did you use? FAT16, FAT32 or NTFS? Should be FAT32. If not, you need to change it and then re-format (initialize) it in your camera. You do that by going into the card mode and into the PLAY mode, not...

Yeah if you already have a bunch of microSD sitting around that is one thing but the rest of these guys were actually buying MicroSD cards or just had one and were going to switch it out between devices with the adapter.

I use an ExpressCard/32 "18 in 1" card reader. It slides straight into the side of the MBP, and accepts all kinds of memory format. I put my miniSD card into the "regular" SD card holder that it came with, then slide it into the Expresscard in my MBP. Now you have a card reader built right into your MBP that you never need to remove! like this one: http://www.apiotek.com/Global/Produc...rd/...
