if his dealer trade in is 12k, why would he sell it for $10k and ship it on his dime??? That makes no sense at all. If lowballing is necessary just to get it into your price range, then you aren't making a smart financial decision by purchasing this car. BTW, I'm pretty sure carmax would offer you more than the lowballers here, good luck with the sale.
