I have been looking for a V for quite some time now, untill stumbling onto a 16' tunnel. (I know Vs are not hard to find, but they are when you have my budget) I wasnt sure how well the tunnel would handle choppy water, but I didnt care as it was cheep ...

Yes they are. You do know that your new boat is a flat bottom and will be very rough in chop! Right? That being said, You made a great find at a very low price. Post some picture`s when you complete the resto. DB

Those boat`s had some really nice lines. It`s gonna accelerate real quick but turning will pose a problem unless you add a fin. DB

They are a very well known boat. Many members here have them, there are some very nice restorations. I think you will like it.

For some additional background on these boats, visit the Classic Glastron Owners Association. Yours, being a 67, is a Carlson, but I don't think there is any significant difference, just small changes, (like the fin, for example). If I'm incorrect, my write in vote for President, Mark 75H, will correct me! (See above posts)

Most people don't know but Carlson did all of the Bond boats. Dude that is a Classic, hang on to it.

bigb9000: The boat used in 1973's Live and Let Die was a GLASTRON GT-150. Plain and simple. No Carlson/Glastron badging or Carlson design involved. Regardless, that Challenger that you've got should be a lot of fun. I presume you've got a 6 cylinder inline black motor that fits on the blunt end of that fine vessel? Keep us informed how your rest-mod is going..
