Greetings, all! I remember that Tunneling produces tunnels that will eventually collapse after a few minutes. I also remember that one can gain bonuses to the collapse roll, thus delaying the collapse. However, some species are capable of creating tunnel networks that are effectively permanent (unless destroyed, that is). IMHO, forking over the points for Extended Duration is too much, as ...

Well for ants and other natural creatures powers suggest a perk: "Can tunnel without shovel" (pg:85) To dig a stable tunnel requires a Engineer(Mining) roll, so I would just invest some points in that skill or in a technique of it (Technique: "Stable Tunneling"). Alternatively I'd just call it "Cosmic: Always digs stable Tunnel". There is no collapse roll mentioned, though some things do ...

IMO any such skills, characteristics, etc. should also be applied to an entire colony (or even all the colonies in an area), rather than to individual ants, moles, etc. The swarm principle should apply to a lot more than combat. That would change, of course, if all PCs were the size of ants or the ants in question were the size of elephants. Scale matters.

Nursery might be better represented as professional skill (child minding)... Although I was thinking something along the lines of "Ant tunnelling" rather than "Ant Talent"... But something along those lines, yeah.
