Removing window paint from black rubber? | Thread profile

Man...you're in for a wild ride... That **** dries to the rubber and the only way to get it off is to scrub it with a brush until it comes off. You can't use chemicals because they will harm the rubber. Best thing to do is find who did it and make them lick it off.....or just get a softer bristled brush and go to town....with soap and water of course. dave.

this happend when i got married.. i told everyone dont do it to my car because its horrible to get off... so sure enough i walk outside theres my car written all over the entire vehicle.. so i was fliping out.left wedding went to car wash spent 50 dollars washed it 5 times on the best wash package they had... ended up using a razor blade for glass... but my rubber still isnt completely clean

like zetecgt said use a detail brush and work it until it starts to flake off. it's the only way to do it aside from replacing it or taking it off and painting it! good luck bro!!

I got a good one, the guy wrote the price and phone # in window marker all over every window on my 69 stang coupe before I bought it, of course it's a vinyl top and damn I still dont have every last bit off yet.
