I love how people will say that you only get sore the first few times and then it goes away. Let me guess, these are the people who come in and do the same weight for the same number of sets...

I only get sore when I do new exercises or deadlifts. DLs get me every time. EDIT: I walk home (~40 minutes) after the gym, which pretty much kills any sort of DOMS from squatting.

I always get sore too, just not as bad. I noticed it especially with squats as of late, before my last layoff I would be in severe pain two to three days after squatting. Now the second day is still the worst, but hardly noticeable. Only time I feel it is if I flex my quads, whereas before going up and down stairs killed me.

I rarely do with the exception of doing new lifts or something we haven't done in a while, like a month or more. Usually, its the ones that involves an extra ROM, like oly squats, deficit pulls, etc where the soreness really comes from since its a shock to the body to go beyond my normal rom.

My hips get sore squatting, but nothing like they used to. Although I don't get really sore, my body can feel really drained after a max effort workout, especially after heavy deads.
