I just finished all the paperwork to join a gym, and I need to pay them 100 dollars for a gym membership for a year. problem is, Im leaving the theraputic program Im in on Dec 19, which makes me question of if it is worth it to pay for a years membership for a gym ill only be at for 2.5 months. What do you guys think i should do?

Theraputic program? Are you a student? If so, would your school have a gym for which you would have access? I'd go nuts not having a place to lift till December so it still may be worth it.

yeah im a student, but my school had to join a gym, thus the special membership rate. I got my dumbbells for now, so that might work for the next month or so, i could buy a barbell at walmart, id just have no place to put it lol.

100 bucks for 2.5 months is typically going to be a better rate than you'll find anywhere else.

How about telling the gym manager that you are in school and will be leaving. Maybe they can give you a discount off the $100. Most pople play more than 0 for three months in a gym, so your deal isn't terrible either way.

You can get the gym to pause your membership. Ask them if that's fine before you give any money. I've done it. What kind of gym only costs $100 FOR A YEAR? Thats a sweet deal. Most public gyms are between $400-600.

That doesnt make sense that you pay for the year and not a year....or maybe I am just misunderstanding. Either way, sorta surprised they didnt say anything about pro-rating the fee for you..

$100 for two and half months is a much better deal than you will get at most gyms. And as World said, you can probably get them to suspend your membership while you are away. Either way, you really need to get yourself to a gym. $100 is peanuts if you're serious about changing the way you look.
