You see them more and more at grocery stores and big box stores such as Home Depot and Canadian Tire. You walk up, scan your stuff through, place the items in the bag which rests on a scale, hit a bunch of buttons, get someone who works at the store to help you, go back to hitting more buttons........ You get the idea and I'm sure everyone here has at least seen one. Well today I'm at ...

Quote: Don't hold your breath waiting for the iPhone to support Adobe's Flash software: Apple's terms-of-service agreement prohibits it. Although Adobe says it is working on a version of its popular Flash player for the iPhone, Apple is unlikely ever to permit it to appear in the handset's App Store, no matter ...

Here's a new thread for trivia. Did you know that on this date tomorrow, November 19, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address??? Did you know that sometimes trivial knowledge comes in handy???

Just thought this might be interesting. Which do you prefer/are running and why? I have an iMac with Leopard and an iMac with Tiger, but I like them equally. I hate the glossy x - + buttons in Leopard, though.

Hi, I still have the same problem with a new router. One computer logs on and if a machine was already on it still says its connected buy doesn't actually work. I just get a not connected to internet page. if i turn off my airport and then reconnect it works. If i plug into the router there is no problem and the second computer can connect and work, therefore i think it has to be something ...

My mom is using my 6 year old Dell and has asked me to pick out a new computer for her. I'm a happy Mac user and ideally I'd like her to have a Mac too. The problem is (as always) price. I know this is an old story, but I want to post it here because this is another real example of Apple likely missing another sale. I can get a nice little Dell (2.2GHz CPU, 3 Gig RAM, 320Gig HD) with ...

Not too long ago I purchased a demo MacPro tower from Bestbuy. It was going for a really low pricepoint and the machine looked and performed like brand new so I just couldn't resist and so far it's been awesome. Just recently I entered the serial number in Apple's support and found out that the warranty expired the end of October. I ended up faxing Apple with my receipt to adjust the ...

I'm a reporter for CBC in Ottawa, and I'm looking for people who have had trouble getting their back-to-school iPod or printer refunds from Apple. I've heard from some people who applied for their refunds but didn't receive anything...and when I called Apple (supposedly in Toronto) I got transferred to a guy in Utah who said a lot of people's information got lost when it was transferred to the ... | |
