Hey All - does anyone have any thoughts on weather to use a wedding planner or not? (I don't have anything booked yet.) In all likelyhood we'll have our ceremony and reception at a hotel although there are one or two other places on my list. It seems like most hotels offer some sort of wedding planner, but now I've heard that some wedding planners are able to get a discount at various hotels....

I keep reading all the threads and posts about how "wrong" it is to have two wedding ceremonies. In Europe this is really, really common. In some countries (France, Monaco & Russia come to mind) by law you have to have a civil ceremony before any church wedding can be held. Then if you want it a church wedding you have your "second wedding". Some religions don't consider a marriage valid ...
