2.16GHz iMac 2GB Ram. PS7 and Elements were both working fine until recently. Now any attempt to add text with layer styles, to an image (in either program) leads to lock-up. All options are greyed out and I can't close PS or save the image. I am assuming that a recent OS10 upgrade has caused the problem, but I can't relate the problem to a specific upgrade because I have not tried to add text ...

Getting that first DBA job is rough; the problem is that nobody wants to hire an inexperienced DBA. It is a paradox almost, you can't get a job without experience yet you can get experience without the job. Taking the certification tests and studying the books is one thing, actual field work is an altogether separate issue. Read more of this article at http://www.tinyurl.com/firstoraclejob...

Not long after XP Pro Service Pack 3 upgrade, I can't connect to certain websites, mainly Google, Ebay, & Answers.com. Mysteriously, I can connect to others...bank acct, Yahoo.com, and so forth. Also, the Safari browser exhibits the same behavior on same websites. What I've tried thus far: + Purged the cache with ipconfig command + Using IE | Options, deleted all IE temp files, cookies, etc....

Ok guys, I performed a BCM system upgrade this weekend, went from 3.7 to a 4.0. Had to do the deletion of the CDR files that was recommended by Nortel when that problem arose. The upgrade went well and everything upgraded as expected, but, I cannot perform a backup. It appears to perform the back and goes through all the motions, but it never says 'backup complete' and does not appear where I ...

I have a bunch of text that scrolls vertically. Inside that text I have several tables and they appear as expected and scroll along with the text. I have a table I'll call 'cart' that I want to place inside the scrolling area but it won't go. The only way it will scroll merrily along is if I remove its style or remove the overflow characteristic of the scrolling text. Here's the style for ...

Dear all I have created a report with number of set date ranges, daily, last 5 days,last 4 weeks, year to date etc. The report is pulling everything correctly meaning the total number of jobs, lenses, sub total and grand total are coming correctly. However when I introduced the percentages, they don't come up correctly. What I am trying to do is to get the report setup with YTD date range and ...

I am able to use my HTC 6800 Windows Mobile 6 phone to browse the web from my laptop, but I'd like to give someone access to my laptop for remote control at a customer site. (It would go lots faster if he could configure the device by seeing my laptop remotely, instead of trying to talk me through it, and there's no phone line for a modem out there, and the device being configured is the only ...

I've got a package that incorporates validation. I made it an easy switch, so you can turn it on and off via: CODE use FieldMap validate => 1; This is done via the following: CODE my $VALIDATE = 0; my $VALIDATE_MISSING = 1; sub import { my( $pkg, %params ) = @_; return unless %params; if ( exists $params{validate} ) { $VALIDATE = $params{validate}; } if ( ...

Hello Guy , I have created a new post but it is really a carry on from a old post. I got slightly frustrated with my frame relay config not working that I ended up ripping all the cables out and wiping the config from the interfaces and starting again.
