So you don't like the game, fine. I agree with your points about the levelling, grinding, gear-mongering treadmill that is very repetitive. However I don't see how lumping in derogatory Star Trek fandom references enhances your point. The overall tone of the article seems to be that whoever plays a game you aren't particularly keen on must be some basement-...

I wish people would stop comparing this phone to the iPhone as it shouldn't even be looked at as such. The iPhone is just an overhyped device touted as the 1st touch screen, 1st 3G, 1st everything & maybe so if you are comparing it to phones provided by service providers. Most of the high end Ericsson phones have never been offered by service providers and ...

Linux, Linux, Linux. That's all I heard 10 years ago. Linux will knock MS out of the lead. Linux will take over the world. Linux will be everything to everyone. Funny how that never happened and won't happen in the laptop market. It seems like a lot of money to spend $300 or $400 for a laptop then spend the same again on software. To a person using...

"HF communications is the most secure communications link we have, as once satellites are taken down, it's going to be our only means of communications." Think maybe the power grid might get taken down at the same time as our satellites? I don't know about you, but if I went to the trouble of knocking out satellites, I'd probably consider the power grid ...

I am a member of the Poker Player Alliance and we fight for the right to play poker online. At the site I play at, there are typically an average of 150,000 world-wide players at any point in time. Poker is a game of skill, and the internet is a great place to always find a game. Some of these sites are making substantial money that if legalized in the...

The BIG problem i that the FCC Chairman and most of the commissioners are NOT ENGINEERS! Powell is no doubt a political hack and knows nothing about telecommunications, especially on the HF region!

I, too, am saddened by Crisp's loss, and pray that they might use this time to heal and once they've gained their footing, they will educated others of the dangers - yes, they are dangers - of gaming for children. This is truly a terrible accident for this family. Every generation believes their parents generation doesn't understand them. It's part of ...

Having not seen the documentary, I don't have the full spectrum of information on what these people are aware of. I'll make the assumption that it's somewhat like smoking, and that they are aware of the risks inherent in what they are doing. That assumption in place, if I had a choice between earning $8 a day and being able to at least provide for basic ...
