People from Boston will tell you its terrible. People from outside of Boston will tell you its great. The reality is somewhere in the middle. Its one of the best transit systems in the US, but if you use it daily you do notice problems. The Alewife example above is one. It holds around 2,000 cars but it full before 9am, and while it was built for expansion, theres no money to do so....
