Pretty good read, interesting stats.. with Greg just playing 24 min as well.. Sunday, November 16 | 4:03 p.m. BY BRIAN HENDRICKSON I've been saying this for months as Greg Oden's debut neared: Don't look to his scoring average to see the true effect the 7-foot rookie center would have on the Blazers this year. In fact, don't look to his rebound average either -- though that would certainly...

According to ontheinside2 on the Oregon Live Forums (a massive Blazers forum that is part of an Oregon newspaper’s website), the Bulls are discussing a trade that will send Kirk Hinrich and Cedric Simmons to the Portland Trail Blazers for Raef Lafrentz and Sergio Rodriguez. ontheinside2, according to Blazer fans, is a reputable source who has broken news in the past. http://dabullz.com/...

Forgive me if it has been previously stated. If not, I propose a new nickname for Oden; Truck. This guy plays like a Truck.

Anyone think he could go in the 250 range and still have a size and strength advantage?

You people know me as the biggest Jose Fanboy and I take pride in it. But before being a Calderon fan I think of myself as a Raps fan. We need to bring Jose off the bench at this point. Jose was the reason we had the best bench in 2006-2007 I think we need him to work with the second unit and make them look good. Our bench really struggles with Solomon and Ukic running the show. This is my ...

The league office will look further Monday at the fourth-quarter incident, according to NBA spokesperson Maureen Coyle, with any fines or suspensions to be announced before both teams play again Tuesday. On the sequence in question, Bogut's left arm caught Garnett in the mouth on the way down as the Australian center drew a shooting foul at the rim. Garnett responded with an open-handed swipe ...

Luke Walton is Lakers forgotten man Two seasons ago, Luke Walton was the starting small forward, his future looking bright enough that the Lakers rewarded him with a six-year, $30-million contract. Two years later, Walton has become the forgotten man in the Lakers' deep, talented rotation. He is playing 3.7 minutes per game, fewest on the team. Walton averaged 23.4 minutes last season, ...

http://www.torontosun.com/news/canada/2008/11/17/7 434361-sun.html While the Raps are Canada's only NBA franchise, it's tough for fans outside Toronto to find coverage, says fellow blogger Adam Francis at RaptorsHQ.com. "When I return to the Maritimes ... it's nearly impossible to get much coverage on the team without resorting to the internet. The interest just isn't there and whatever ...

It might be an interesting exercise to see how people would shape the roster for next season based on challenging economic situations currently. Go into this thread with three assumptions (which you can challenge) a) When the NBA fiscal year ends on June 30, 2009, I think it is plausible that Basketball Related Income (BRI) will be down based on lower attendance, lower ticket prices and less ...
