I'm in the process of trying to get some stuff ready to go into a small gallery and was in a local Curry's yesterday looking for mattes. Curry's is a small chain of art supply stores. They actually stock mattes and other materials rather than having to order and wait. Anyway, they had some really nice looking Arches watercolour papers in stock. Arches is a quality paper manufacturer, the ...

My wife and I went over to visit with her new grand daughter and I brought along my 20D and my 24-105mm lens. She wanted the usual grandma/baby shots, but I also walked away with this B&W. Obviously a little PSC2 work was done for the final product. http://www.BozzzzzPhoto.com/;/a> Please, visit my website and leave acomment or two. I really enjoy hearing from ...

what do you want for Christmas or Hanukkah? I'm thinking about a D90, but I really don't need it or anything else right now, so I'll probably take an IOU.

I was using my Photoshop CS program and printing out 20 flyers when all of a sudden the program shut down after printing out 5 flyers. Now the program won't load beyond "reading text global resource.done". What happened and how do I fix it?

I went out a few days ago to my front yard and took a few pictures of my only remaining flowers. This plant blooms all year long. My husband is taking me to Appollo Park tomorrow so I can cure my itch. He's going to be fishing and I'm going to be shooting pictures. *win win situation* Anyway I wanted to share this photo with you guys. I really like the way it turned out and I haven't posted ...

Saturday was pretty miserable around here. Gray and gloomy but oddly warm for the middle of November. That changed yesterday to seasonably cold and wintry dry. Anyway, I was happy to find the gray skies seemed to help the color of the shots I took on Saturday. I'm using a trial of Lightroom for PP, which I like very much! I hope they download OK. Eva...

You know I've been looking at pixel density on the various cameras, and its really pretty interesting to see how different they all are. The Nikons D3, and D700 are both 1.4mp/cm2 spread over a full frame whilst the Canon 5D is 1.5 over approximately the same area, yet according to some reviews I've read the 5D resolves visibly more detail, although only slightly. One wouldn't expect to see ...

I know that this is a photography forum, but many of us feel like we know each other and friends often discuss things other than photography. Therefore, I don't think it's a bad idea to let us discuss other than photography as long as the discussion stays civil. I realize that this is up to the moderators, but I would like to know how others feel about this. So, how do you feel about using ...

A common critique in the gallery is, "what were you trying to say here", or "what statement does this photo make?" Well, I'll admit that many of my photos don't have a message. I'm a simple photographer, not necessarily a symbolic or representational artist. I like color, texture, line and shape, and the visual interest or impact of something I have seen. Sometimes a picture of a flower is ...
