Qualcomm MSM6280 Chipset can also support video encoding and decoding, but will it? HTC users are still waiting for video drivers for the TYTNII, Polaris, and others. Everytime I hear Qualcomm, I think 'slow, incomplete, incapable'

The seventh and final of our 8th anniversary contests is now over: the winner of the one week vacation stay , selected randomly from amongst all the entries, is makicr . Congratulations! Thanks to everyone that entered this contest, and all of the other contests. It was a lot of fun to give away so many devices! Special thanks to PPC Techs for their prize donation, and to all of the ...

I was just wondering how many readers of these three sites (Zune Thoughts, Pocket PC Thoughts and Smartphone Thoughts) had wireless networks at home. By just having a device that these sites cater to, it is likely you have a WiFi enabled device. I just got a Zune 8 about 3-4 weeks ago, my first Zune, and love how I am able to sync with my PC's media database over the network, which only ...

I'm wondering how accurate (or inaccurate) their data is. The very first screen shot above, showing a rendering of the Las Vegas strip, shows the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas on the WRONG side of the road! That right there makes me think there could be a lot of issues with their data.

http://www.mobiletechreview.com/pho...es/HTC-Fuze. htm "Some of us have been waiting months for this phone to hit the US, and it's a formidable successor to the HTC Tilt. In terms of looks and size, it's a flat out winner. Though thicker than QWERTY bar phones, its relatively small width and height mean it does feel overly large. The Fuze is feature-packed and call quality is good. But AT&T...

Hi folks, just to keep you up-to-date - I never found out what the problen was (no PDA virus scanner ever found anything) but "solved" it by doing a backup with sprite backup then a hard reset then a sprite restore. Since then it's OK! Regards, Timerider

Being so heavily Windows Mobile-centric, I find it interesting when I can get my hands on devices from companies that compete with Windows Mobile. I had an opportunity to play with a RIM Blackberry Bold earlier this week, and was extremely impressed with the hardware. I thought it might be useful to share what I thought was good about the Bold, if for no other reason than to point out to ...

Finally climbed down off of the fence have been sitting on - for some time now - and bought a Fuze last night. Have not had a lot of Play Time with it yet - less than 24 hours old, and there ARE other priorities during the day ( ) - but a couple (?? ) of interesting observations thus far: As noted in reviews, feels nice in hands - width & height are about same as my old Razr, and the ...
