Seriously, I thought it was very well done. I know it gets trashed all the time and it totally tanked at the box office, but I think it has its place. You just have to see it from the right perspective. It's acually a pretty dark, serious film, and because of that I think a lot of people percieved it as having no soul. I on the other other hand saw it as a positive. It was a great character study...

Just showed on the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Looks like they are trying to build hype early. I don't see Terminator Salvation trailers on tv yet.

This pic of the crew http://www.imdb.com/media/rm4214985728/tt0796366 looks a little like the CW's or WB's version of StarTrek would be. Or Startrek 90210. Everyone looks a little too young and ... good looking, like the cast of the fantastic four.

Am I the only one that's worried here? I was really hoping that this much anticipated new trailer attached to Quantum of Solace would assuage my fears that we're getting a revisionist, "fresh" take on the beloved franchise that would sacrifice some core "Trek" themes and tropes in the name of, well, making more money at the box office. So far, I'm not so assuaged. Sure, the film looks ...

First of all, its a trailer...they are trying to make it look really exciting to draw in people new to the franchise. It doesn't mean that the story won't be meaty. Also, are there people out there who really hated the HEAVY ACTION seen in the Dominion Wars in DS9? What I'm trying to say is, some Epic action here and there to compliment the story worked wonders with DS9...and will hopefully ...

It'll probably be better in overall quality than Nemesis, at least speaking from overall movie quality. As Star Trek, I don't know. I mean, from the trailer Nemesis was already looking silly with it's Nosferatu aliens who were all decked out like Cenobites. Still, I question whether this will truly be a hit with anyone other than Trek fans who will be there for the Trek name no mater what and ...

I find too many people judging a 2min trailer and cuts of lines pretty harshly. I'm just making this post for rational Trek fans, as a person who is a loyal Trek fan of over 20yrs who follows the Trek Canon, has all the books, films, shows etc. I hope others ,like myself, look forward too what they do with the series with this film and are not simply going to pull a Roger Ebert by a 2min segment ...

Capt. Kirk was in his 30s by the time a young Ensign Chekov made it to the Enterprise. Given the age difference, Chekov should not even be in the academy and the actor does not look like some teen prodigy. Sulu and Uhura were just Lieutenants, meaning they were a few years out of the Academy. Which would still make them closer to Chekov than Kirk or Spock. Just because they serve on the same ...

40 years, 5 progressively worse TV shows and still not one gay man has been seen in space, sure we have had women kissing, ooh the titillation but to this day not one single gay man has made in into Starfleet academy, now I know the uniforms are *beep* and the bigoted attitude most Starfleet officers have dumb and unrealistic but really 40 years no gay characters, screw Trek. Faster than ...

Interesting how you have yet to provide info on the Orci comment. Others say it is Siberius as well. Slurring? I think not. I can Guarantee that the they will change this for the debut today.
