I take on board your point regarding ot threads, but with all due respect, that's what the ignore feature is for. I personally amn't a fan of that either, but If I find people rude, I don't reply to them. If my next door neighbors are arguing, I ignore them. I don't call the police. Allow me to digress for a moment. I said this before, but James Fermann, head of the BBFC banned the Exorcist for...

But he wants to eat your liver! With some fava beans and a nice chianti! "The Funhouse" (1981) was one of the better Tobe Hooper films and is frequently overlooked. Liked his "Lifeforce" also but was too busy staring at Mathilda May (naked space girl) to be scared. Loads of good scenes from his "Poltergeist" as well.

10/01 Baby Blues - 85 min. - Directed by: Lars E. Jacobson and Amardeep Kaleka . Netflix . DVD - There are some places filmmakers should not go, and this is definitely one of 'em. Basically about a mother, played brilliantly by Colleen Porch , who gets a "vision from god" and decides to go all Jack Torrence by killing her infant son and three kids. It's "The Shining" meets "...

Brainee's 2008 DVDTalk Horror Movie Challenge List Goal : 31 Total : ??? ☼ = first time viewing October 1st 1. ☼ The Ghoul (1933) - A bit creaky and slow-moving, but delivers some nice atmosphere and spooky shots (especially those involving the decayed-looking Karloff). Got a little too "Scooby Doo" near the end, and the explanation given seemed to contradict...

I am equally amazed at both extremes when it comes to the general consensus on "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". I can't understand those who claim it is a flawless masterpiece (not that they don't offer solid arguments, see the IMDb comments for some well-reasoned reviews which I can't really argue against), and I certainly can't understand those who claim this is some sort of awful, laughable ...

It's surprisingly very good despite Tobe Hooper's poor track record after TTCM. Worth watching though if you appreciated Clownhouse. 'You have ten minutes to reach minimum safe distance.....'

Very good movie, released during a time when Horror was all about excess stalk and slash. This movie has some really good, terrifying moments while skirting Horror and Psychological Thriller genres. Have you seen Tobe Hooper's The Funhouse (1981)? I always recommend to people who liked this movie. 'You have ten minutes to reach minimum safe distance.....'

Agreed, if done right. Last news i heard on this was that Spielberg wanted to get his hands on it and make a movie. I wouldn't mind a collaboration between Tobe Hooper and Spielberg much like in Poltergeist. Only thing is i can't see many viewers being open enough to try and understand the Japanese Shinto rituals. Here's hoping!
