Dunno about "best", but my favorite is Superman. Ladyhawke and the first Lethal Weapon are great too. I'm told my impression of Gregory Peck yelling "DAMIEN!!" is spot on.

I think of Richard Donner as a fun director. He doesn't try to create great art, he just wants to entertain. With that in mind I think The Goonies is the most fun film of his. A rollicking good ride!
