I hate both parties and liked Jesse Ventura here in Minnesota-the only honest politician I've ever seen in my almost 60 years.  He sent us all the extra tax money back every year!  No-one ever did that before and he made the bought and paid for commerical media wear big pink signs that red media jackal if they wanted to interview him as they were treating him badly.  He didn't do that to PBS ...

What's really scary is how ineffective the stimulus has been.           We don't really know how effective or ineffective it's been.  Obviously, the stimulus hasn't proved ideal, but the macro-economic signs have been positive and the meltdown that some imagined has not materialized.  Unemployment, of course, is a lagging indicator of economic progress.
