( My hair came in dark. That's how I knew it was growing, that "5 o'clock shadow" effect. Lori , you give new meaning to the phrase "chemo curls"! I can understand how traumatic it must've been to lose such long and lovely hair. It'll be long and lovely again, I promise. Congrats on your upcoming Hawaiian nuptials! Oh, and I absolutely think you pulled off "The Bald" - thank you for posting...

thought I'd mention a few new Summer/midseason shows I've caught in recent weeks ... Nurse Jackie Hawthorne (or HawthoRNe ) - both shows are medical dramas from the perspective of a nurse as lead character. Nurse Jackie is a HBO drama (so black comedy and expletives are a given) and stars the Sopranos' Edie Falco as Jackie Peyton. Hawthorne is more conventional drama and stars Jada...

>   I am loving Nurse Jackie! Also LOVE Zoey the underling. The episode where the boss woman (Miss Ackilidas?) put the "sweet n all" in her coffee was hysterical. Edie Falco is just terrific, but I find it odd that no one Jackie works with knows she's married with 2 kids. >>>   I think we have only seen the first two episodes but we loved those. I find it odd about no one knowing ...

Ok, on a lighter note ....anyone still watching Nurse Jackie on Showtime?   I'm liking it. Wish they'd put more episodes ON Demand in advance like they did for In Treatment when it was on HBO.   Hudson                                      We chose HOPE - Nov. 4th, 2008 >>>   I am loving Nurse Jackie! Also LOVE Zoey the underling. The episode where the boss woman (Miss ...

I'd honestly be shocked if Jeremy Piven won a fourth consecutive Emmy. For some reason, it's become harder for actors to win four Emmys for the same role. Aren't Kelsey Grammar, David Hyde Pierce and Doris Roberts the only actors to accomplish the feat this decade? I mean I think everyone expected James Gandolfini and Edie Falco to win a fourth Emmy each for "The Sopranos," but I have a ...

Meaningless meaningless post, Opportunist. It was definitely interesting. Anyone else notice that it was directed by Alexander Payne? (Sideways, Election, About Schmidt) This was actually part of the problem, I think, especially in the first half of the episode. The direction was a little bit "too" filmy. Too languidly paced at times. A prime example I can give is the fire. We got ...

princess consuela bananhammock wrote: Jenny, we are just starting season two of Lost. The whole family is watching. My daughter keeps wondering how they will drag this out for what? four or five seasons? What I really want to watch is Dexter! I think that's been my fave so far. We watched season three on freetv. Ravin, Angel sounds interesting. We have our own Buffy here. ...
