Nothing of Chris Marker's should be dismissed as "silly" without some kind of argument to back it up. That might be acceptable of Les Astronautes (although that was probably more Borowczyk than Marker), but certainly not La Jetée. Also, in regards to Halloween, Zombie's film might have better "frames" (no doubt as a result of a far superior budget and a more experienced crew than the one ...
