Hey all! I just got back from my local pet food warehouse and when I got home noticed the change in the Lamb and Rice ALS from Canidae. I JUST got done switching my pup (10 months) from the Regular ALS to the Lamb and Rice (just for a change). From their website (and from peeling the sticker of new ingredients off the bag to reveal the old) it seems they've kept lamb meal as their number 1 ...

I am not sure where to put this, so I thought here was best. Do most of you that feed natural foods supplement with glucosamine/condroitin supplements for your adult/senior dogs? If so, which brand supplement do you recommend? I see Wellness has one that looks interesting. I am feeding mostly Solid gold Hundenflacken right now for food.

I usually give Coco a tablespoon or two of plain yogurt with her breakfast to ward off stinky toots and keep her digestive tract running smooth. Dozer is 12 weeks old and good grief he can be stinky when he lets one go. Can I feed him yogurt in the morning too?

Ok, sorry to bug you all again, but I finally narrowed my search down to solid gold. My next question is, I was going to get tyson the Hundchen Flocken puppy. Petco is sold out of the small and medium bags. I don't want to get the 33# bag in case it doesn`t agree with him, or he doesn't like it. Would it be possable to get the Hund-N-Flocken adult until the puppy becomes available? I noticed ...

IMO this is a decision that has to be made by each individual. Some people (like myself) do not like the high protein foods others don't have an issue with them. It really just seems to depend on the person as well as the dog. Good luck in your decision!

I have decided to try a different food for my 14week old Roxy (she is currently on merrick puppy plate). I have found that she has a very sensitve tummy and a possible chicken allergy so i am switching her to a different type of food. I have narrowed it down( with everyones help!) to two foods to switch her over too if i need, either go!natural(the salmon and oatmeal)-supplemented with extra ...

Wellness makes a Whitefish and Sweetpotato recipe, have you considered trying that instead of the Natural Balance? Also, what about giving Benedryl? You can give 25mg of Benedryl to see if that helps with the symptoms, although it won't be able to help you determine what he is allergic to. It might make them a bit sleepy or less active but it might help with the itching and rednessness. Just a ...

Thank you! I really like the SG and have noticed several benefits to it but after reading some posts on here I got a little nervous. I think I'm going to stick with it and just see what happens. No serious medical issues yet *fingers crossed*. Thanks again

Does anyone else feed this to their boxers. It works great for us. We used to feed Canidae but ever since they changed their formula our boxers had the runs. I found this food in ad in a boxer magazine. I found out our local pet store carried it and I've been feeding it to them ever since. They take their time to eat now and they don't have the runs anymore thanks to the low fiber contant. If ...

Tyson is 7months old. He only gets diareha (sp?) when we go on walks. He can poop 1/2 hr. before a walk, and go again on the walk. It can be as runny as water at times. I have tried not feeding him until after we get home, but he still does it. He is eating Canidae (still old formula, thank goodness) chicken & rice ALS. He eats between 3-4 cups a day. No snacking through the day either. I have ...
